Plex Media Server 1.32.0.6865-ba892e5ce - Issues seeing folders of networked drives (NAS)

Awesome, now I have to take a stab at trying to get this going on my server, thanks for these instructions, you’re a legend.

PDATE: Those instructions helped to a point, but I hit a wall with some of it.

This guy’s video is really great for explaining how to get NFS working on Windows 10.

The current version of Plex is talking with my old NAS again which also can do NFS, I’ve shut down SMB1 completely and I’m no longer using it. I also notice at least to some extent, that the NAS feels a bit more quicker too, things don’t take as long to load up, so that’s a bonus.

Are you saying that you now can use the Plex server version 1.32. ?

Well it’s up to date as much as one can get, and I put a new video in a folder after going through that whole NFS ordeal and the system was able to scan the new edition. So it seems if someone has a NAS with SMB1, but is also capable of doing NFS, they can switch to that and they’ll be good to go.

Thank you for confirming!

The NFS solution definitely worked for me and I’m thankful my old Netgear ReadyNAS NV+ v2 actually has NFS as an option, I did use your instructions but hit a wall with the whole username ordeal. That video I put up really did help a lot and now my Plex server can see the NFS drives, and can see the subfolders which weren’t happening with SMB1.

So yeah, it’s definitely a workable solution for any users who have SMB1 NAS’s, if they’re able to enable NFS on their NAS, they can definitely save a visit to the PC shop for a new NAS for a bit while longer lol.

well, it’s not working on the current version, I have the same problem, and found some others as well.
The fix is to downgrade again to 1.31.3.6868

so not a windows problem, but something changed within the plex server code to produce this error.

When I switched from SMB1 to NFS, that fixed my problem with accessing folders in my old Netgear ReadyNAS, now it works fine with the latest Plex Server Beta version.
