Libraries won't update anymore

All of a sudden I can’t update libraries. I have movies, TV and music libraries and they’ve stopped updating. When I click yo update them the icon spins for a second and then stops.

I’ve tried rebooting everything and also deleting then recreating a library but it didn’t make any difference.

Can anyone help?

Server Version#: 1.32.0.6865-ba892e5ce (March 29, 2023) Player Version#: 1.67.1.3665-771934d3 It seems that the latest Beta version of the Windows Plex server has broken the ability to see networked drives (NAS for example). I named networked NAS drive V: (for Videos), when I click on V: I do not see the folders, and because of that, Plex Server doesn’t see anything too, so it can’t scan new movies or shows added. Yup, view my replies on either of those two topics there’s a useful video there to check out, sounds like you might be using an NAS that uses SMB1, you might want to consider switching to NFS for your NAS networking, it fixed the problem for me, I’ve stopped using SMB1.

Hi I am using a NAS drive and server version 1.32.0.6918. To change from SMB1 to NFS do I do that in plex settings or on the drive? Sorry but I’m a complete novice at this.

and try it that way. If you can’t make it work, take a look at the video further down in that thread, which shows an alternate method.

It really comes down to what kind of NAS you have and what networking options you have available to use in the settings, we can’t really tell you how your NAS works unless we use a similar one. Best to google your brand of NAS and see if there’s any handy Youtube video or tutorial that explains how to enable NFS on it.

I’ve now discovered that my NAS does not support NFS- it’s an old Seagate GOFLEX. Does that mean there is no way to get my plex server working again?

You’ll have to wait for a new server release with a hotfix.
There are currently some users who have been selected for testing a preliminary version.
