I’ve been struggling with plex media server for couple weeks now. All i get whilst trying add my daughters smart TV to the account is “password wrong”“server offline”“server not claimed”
How can the password be wrong if im logged in.The server is also not offline because i have remote access to my server and can clearly see its online. Everytime i go from my Daughters to my home and then back again and try logging in it always tells me the server is unclaimed.
Why do i need to type in a 4 digit code on my phone…if its the TV thats the device im using to view the server.
The 4-digit code is used to save you from having to type not only your full username /email but also a potentially very long password directly into the TV device – using nothing than the remote control.
If you want to add the TV into your own account, open a web browser and log into your plex account as usual at https://plex.tv
Then you go to Link | Plex and type in the 4-digi code which is shown on the TV. Keep in mind that this code is only valid for very few minutes.
