Plex Media Server app will not launch with macOS High Sierra 10.13.3 Update

Ever since my mac updated to the macOS High Sierra 10.13.3, I have been unable to launch the Plex Media Server. Does anyone have solution to this problem?

iMac (27-inch, Late 2012), 3.4 GHz Intel Core i7, 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3, macOS High Sierra 10.13.3

Most common cause is permissions / ownership for ~/Library/Logs and ~/Library/Caches

See this post for advice on troubleshooting this type of problem

That forum thread has a lot of examples of failure to launch on Mac

If you Trash your PMS app in applications and empty the trash.

Go To:

https://plex.tv/downloads

Install the app again.

If that fails try a clean install of PMS, following this support article. If you have had Plex a long time or a huge library, it maybe a good idea to clean up all your support files.

Note that problem was solved by deleting version of Plex Media Server on my iMac, then downloading new version, installing, and syncing media server with my FLAC files on a connected Passport USB drive.
