For some reason my media server is no longer being detected by media players. At the same time when I go into the server to update it is also saying unable to update will have to go manual. Not sure what has changed and forgive me if it is something obvios but can anyone tell me what to do to fix it? I was going to do a complete reinstall but was hoping to avoid it if possible.

I’m seeing some network errors in your log. In these cases I suggest first restarting your server and your router.
Ok tried restarting the modem and the router with no success. THought I may as well do a complete restart so uninstalled, deleted reg keys and also the local data folder. New setup says the server is unclaimed and not secure. Repeated attempts to claim it are unsuccessful. I have attached logs. All help greatly appreciated!

PS. I even disabled antivirus to see if that made a difference but it did not
Double check the subnet mask being used? I think you might have set it wrong.
Ive checked the static subnet on the wifi adapter which is the same as the router settings so not sure if that is it?
And what is the subnet you’ve used?
Hmm. I was seeing something else in your PMS logs. Can you do the following?
- restart PMS
- do nothing, just let it sit for 3 minutes
- grab a new log
That doesn’t look right. It shows the last restart was on the 13th.

FWIW I seem to be having the same problem? Brand new working local media server (Linux VM running CENTOS 7 w/plex 1.20.1.3252-a78fef9a9) that I just finished uploading some movies to and had it reading music and pictures from Windows shared drives. Was working fine. I log in from my desktop (a Win10 box using Chrome) but could also access the media server via the Linux console using FIrefox.
Then tonight decided to try linking in a Roku (all devices in the house are on the same class-C). As soon as I entered the web link to link the Roku to my account my local media and server disappeared completely and I’m unable to get them back.
At one point I saw the server as “unsecured and unclaimed”. Tried to claim it but the UI just sat there till it looked like it timed out. I do see my media server on the list of authorized devices for my account but even logging in directly to it via the web interface won’t show me any of my media or even the media server itself.
Just rebooted the media server for the second time tonight; no errors in the Plex Media Server.log file but still nothing?
Had you perhaps recently registered something as well? Wondering if we both hit the same issue.
According to this log, your server isn’t signed into your account. Are you purposely trying to use your server without claiming it? If not, have you tried claiming it from Plex Web?
Edit - I’m also seeing something strange about your network but I’m checking something before I bring this up.
This is what I am saying. Since I couldn’t access the server from a player on the same network I did a complete reinstall and as you can see in the screenshot I am signed in but I can’t claim the server (button does nothing) nor will it allow auto updates (this happened just prior to reinstall as well).
Can you provide me screenshots of the network and remote access pages. You can PM me if you don’t want to share publicly.

Pretty sure network issues are fixed now and have PM’d you some screenshots and logs. Still having the issue where sine reinstall I can’t claim the server nor will it update.
AT&T modem is on passtrhough
ASUS XR500 is showing public IP
Port 32400 is showing as open
Yet even a complete reinstall, deleting reg keys and local app data files is coming up saying unable to claim server. Anyone have any ideas what it could be as I am going crazy over it! I have attached logs from new install
