Plex Media Server constantly dropping connection/unexpected playback error

Player Version#:
Windows 10
LG C9 TV (latest firmware/app)

LAN Access, ZenWIFI AX Mesh network. Computer wired to one router, TV wired to other router, routers talking to each other via 5ghz backhaul.

I’ve tried numerous versions of PMS all the way down to 1.14 to 1.23 and now at 1.18 and different variations in between. Nothing seems to help. The video will play and it stops random intervals through. I either way for it to calm down or I am forced to restart plex media server.

Please help. Driving me crazy.

Have started another thread on this, been pouring over the thread to try find a solution. Your setup is extremely similar to mine, I am also using the same network config (ASUS ZenWIFI Mesh Xt8 with Wifi backhaul). I went through some of your logs and your error is the same as mine happening every 10 seconds:

My error:

Unable to find client profile for device; platform=Tizen, platformVersion=5, device=19_MUSEM_QTV, model=QA65Q80RAKXXA

I tried a few things, disabling transcoding on the server, enabling it, disabling direct play on the tv seems to help but then the app on tv still times out.

Waiting for a dev to try help.

I am limiting it down to 3 things (or all 3)

Transcoding settings - could be the tv apps cannot transcode. (when I stream to an nvidia shield or even my phone it works perfect no errors

The new mesh network - did you only start picking up this error after the mesh network installed? Before, I had zero problems

Plex tv app. Perhaps the latest update of the app did something

Hoping a Dev will see one of my thread posts and reply.

I too am having the exact same issues, an update maybe might fix it, but it’s been pretty persistent for some time now. Quite frustrating, works for 3 mins, 9 mins, 15 mins, error, “Unable to find client profile for device; platform=Tizen … etc” - tv wired to a router, computer wired to a router, both edgerouter x’s. No issue with throughput, but now it’s working 10 mins with no error?

Played with all the same settings. Downgraded, upgraded, restored xteve data, plex data, etc… very frustrating!!

Network - you could try lowering packet sizes. But it might not work and a more direct connection is needed.

The error about client profile is irrelevant.
