Could anyone explain why suddenly my CPU activity is breaking up like this? It only started happening like yesterday. I have PLEX Media Server running on an old iMac. It causes stuttering in my playback. I’ve tried reinstalling PLEX Media Server and restarting the whole network. I don’t know what to do.
Did you notice this after an update?
Most recently, problems with excessive CPU use have been due to the new credit detection feature they rolled out in one of the last few updates
it’s enabled by default so you have to go into the settings and turn it off
I’m not saying this is your issue, but I would check there first if you haven’t
if you can recreate the problem, or right after it happens you may want to attach server logs to see if it gives any hints.
