but the Plex Media Server crashs after boot or reboot.
I reset my Shield and it looks like with the Plex Server Version 1.4.3 … all works fine, than i updated to Plex from Playstore to Version 1.12.3.4973. And it crash again .. after removeing update all works fine.
The Shield is Updated and no other custom apps are installed
German Screenshot : Plex Media Server get closed / Close app / give feedback
This has only started happening since the latest update. I manually restart my Shield every few days just to make sure everything is running ok, But since receiving the latest Plex PMS update (Not the app), I get the same crash error on boot after a restart or full shutdown. After the the crash error I have to manually start PMS from within the Plex app settings. Once its been manually started, It runs just fine.
I know a fix was added to Plex PMS 1 or 2 release’s back to fix SMB start on boot. Maybe something in the latest release has broken it???
Same for me. PMS latest production version. Have to note - I was on the Beta program before that and switched back to production versions, due to low performing beta server.

Log Files attached.
Hope someone has a clue.
greetings Dennis
I have looked at the logs and it looks like something is shutting down Plex Media Server after a few minutes of launch. It is a kill 0 event that is killing the Plex Media Server process. it is not a Plex crash
So it launched at 21:29 and then at 21:34 a shutdown event caused it to be closed

May be there is another media app that is forcing Plex Media Server to close ?
His Log is from a fresh reseted shield tv. Buyed the shield the same das.
So no other Apps exept the preinstalled Apps are running. never get started before log.
Steps before log:
Reset shield tv - Start Plex Server 1.4 …Reboot … no Crash … Update Plex from PlayStore 1.12 … Reboot … Crash every time … i think 15 seconds after start. Create the Log
Im also having the same problem uninstalling the update from plex does fix the error message on boot which is annoying but my option to transfer files over local network in the nvidia shield tv setting wont show up so i cant use that option with my laptop or pc basically the plex update did something to the my shield i called nvidia customer service and they pointing the finger to plex and to be honest it is please plex team fix this issue
But the Server is running after this message fine (Web Interface is working / Plex client can access the server ), maybe the server restart after that message or is still running and the Android Error Message is wrong.
I am having the same problem with my Shield, but it actually shuts down the PMS every now and then. I can’t run the server for more than a day before the server somehow shuts down by itself and I have to start it manually. I am running the latest version supplied via Shield updates (1.12.2.4929).
I have attached two logs that show the shutdown. One of them has verbose logging enabled. The server always stops with “Shutting down with signal 0”.
I have been using my Shield for more than a year and have loved it up until this problem that happened very recently. I believe it could have been at the same time as the latest Shield/PMS update, but I cannot be certain.
So it is actually running despite the pop-up. Does the signal 0 correspond to time when the pop up is acknowledged ?
These errors that you extracted are not important - they relate to SSDP discovery of devices on the local network and devices do not send valid responses when queried

Could you select the Give Feedback button - that may send a crash report in.
I suspect the Kill 0 is when you select App schließen (Close App)

I didn’t notice when posting, but when I attach a file it says “File failed to upload”. I’ve now zipped them and attached them successfully.
