I’m also experiencing PMS crashing from build 1.27 and now 1.28.0.5973.
Plex stops working and then restarts (via Plex Media Server Service)
Attached are my most recent logs.

@jfreiman I moved your post to a new thread. The other thread was for a Linux / Docker installation, and you’re running Windows.
There are errors in the log files. However, it is hard to tell what is happening because debug level logging is turned off.
-
Re-enable debug level logging.
Settings → ServerName → General
-
Restart Plex Media Server.
-
After the next occurrence, wait for Plex to fully start (2 - 3 minutes), then go to Settings → Troubleshooting, download the logs, and attach to the thread.
im also having issues with my PMS crashing on a windows 2012R2 server.
i have to restart PMS so that the service and my libraries come back online.
i have debug logging enabled so hopefully my logs can show whats going on.

let me know if you need anything else
cheers,
Take a look at this thread and see if you’re having the “deadlock” issue. If so, try and gather the diagnostics outlined in this post:
I can see a crash at Jul 18, 2022 18:40 - but you have disabled debug logging !
I suspect the crash was memory usage related and a spike then
Could you add the hidden server setting LogMemoryUse - see
Advanced, Hidden Server Settings | Plex Support
Also ensure debug logging is enabled and to identify the device / application that may be sending large requests to the server - could you also enable verbose logging on the server,
Capture the logs on restart after a crash and then disable verbose logging leaving just debug logging
You are already on the 1.28.1 alpha trial which hopefully fixes the deadlocks / lockouts issues you had
Please Media Server 1.28.2 has just been released as a beta release
It has a fix for a deadlocks issue that was identified last week
- Server could hang in certain circumstances (#13758)
