This keeps happening. Is there anything I can do to fix it?

It seems that you got more time between freezes with the change to the library scan setting. A couple things you can try.

  1. Disable Sonic Analysis on your music library for a period of time to see if this minimizes your freezing.
  • Turn it back on and narrow your Scheduled Task time range to a time where can monitor the server when the Scheduled Task beings.
  1. Disable Hardware Acceleration when available for a period of time.
  • Narrow your Scheduled Task time range to a time where can monitor the server when the Scheduled Task beings.
  1. Disable Sonic Analysis on your music library. Create a smaller Music library outside of GDrive directory and enable Sonic Analysis.
  • Narrow your Scheduled Task time range to a time where can monitor the server when the Scheduled Task beings.
  1. Repair a Corrupted Database | Plex Support I don’t see any mention of a corrupted DB it might be a good idea to confirm with the integrity_check.

It looks like Sonic Analysis might be part of the issue or the issue presents itself around the time Sonic Analysis is running. Try one step at a time to try and narrow the down the root cause.

Are you running anything else that is CPU/GPU intensive during your currently set Scheduled Task window?

Thank you very much. The time between freezes has indeed grown wider, it’s just a matter of figuring out what is causing them. I do not run anything CPU/GPU intensive during scheduled tasks so don’t think that’s the culprit. I will disable the services you mentioned one by one and see if i can isolate the issue.

Thanks as always for trying to help me out with this.

My thought is that its a combination of either Sonic Analysis and Hardware Acceleration, Sonic Analysis and the GDrive location, bad files are being Sonic Analyzed, or something outside of Plex affecting the scanning during Sonic Analysis. All of which I’m not super confident of being the issue but hopefully the steps provided will shine some new light.
