Hi,

I am getting frequent crashing multiple times per day and am at a loss as to why this is happening. I have tried reinstalling the software which fixed a DVR issue, however the crashing is ongoing and appears to be random.

Any help would be appreciated and please let me know if anything else is needed.

Thanks and kind regards,

S Malik

For now i would try turning off Hardware acceleration in server settings

Thanks, just gave that a go, will keep an eye on it.

Many thanks for the advice, very much appreciated.

No joy i’m afraid, it’s still crashing away. Any other suggestions or ideas?

This started a few days ago, maybe a week and everything was all ok previously. I’ve not made any setup or config changes that i’m aware of either.

Here’s the latest crash report, hopefully this helps…

Did v1.18.3 crash? If not, I would downgrade.

Thanks for the tip, I’m not sure to be honest, but it’s worth a try. I appreciate the advice!

I was able to fix it by installing a new Intel driver.

Thanks for the tip, i’m showing as having all the latest intel drivers according to the Intel driver and support assistant, am I missing any other driver?

Rolling back to 1.18.3 seems more stable, but i’m keeping an eye on it for now, I may roll back to 1.18.2 to see if that makes a difference should this keep crashing today.

Just checked and i can confirm that I’m running the 7584 intel driver and have been doing so for a few days. It didn’t solve this issue.

Thanks for the suggestion though, much appreciated!

Does disabling hardware transcoding fix your issue?
if so, you could go to advanced settings and partially enable it.
disable it for encoding, but enable it for decoding.

on my system it was a very clear difference.
on September drivers it crashed always and with the november drivers (7584) it is fully stable

He has database corruption:

1.18.3 is running stable for the moment.

Thanks for highlighting about the corruption, I’ll work to repair it and see if that makes a difference to 1.18.4

OK downgrading to 1.18.3 resulted in it remaining working today all day without crashing. Additionally, I took the steps detailed to repair the corruption and that is now showing all ok also. I’ll leave it alone for tomorrow to see how it gets on, but I just want to say thank you for all the suggestions as I was truly at a loss! Very much appreciated!

Thanks for the suggestions, downgrading back to 1.18.3 did indeed stop all crashing today and running the DB repair fixed a few annoying minor bugs in the tv library. Thanks for all the help, really appreciate it and I wish you all a very merry Christmas!
