My database seems to have become corrupted. On “Scan Library Files” it will remove ~56% of my library of ~1,831 movies do to a very consistent 1,023.
I’ve
- Removed Plex + all support files/folders in the MacOS Library
- Deleted all Plex files from my MacOS system
- Purged my Safari cache
- Removed server from control panel
- Removed devices logged into server
- Logged out
- Restarted
- Rebuilt everything from scratch
- Initial scans of media files go as expected, everything loads correctly
- Optimize database and clean up bundles
- Wait a couple of hours
- Rescan library files, Plex starts to remove files and leaves the same 1,023
- If I add a new movie to the library folder it can reduce that count down to ~544
- Rescans do not replace the lost movies and keep count fairly consistent
- This happens with Music (2,591 albums), but not with my Series (TV shows /141)
- Logs are unhelpful to me. I see errors, but cannot understand their meaning or purpose (e.g.,
[CreditsDetectionManager] BufferingLineReader: failed to read line (error: -1)[CreditsDetectionManager/Response::fetch/MarkerResponse] incomplete marker attributes[Req#10043b] Unknown metadata type: folder
- Files are located on NAS
- File server and MacOS are set to never sleep
The last time this happened >1 year ago, I purchased a new LifeTime account because nothing worked. I do not believe this is the correct solution to solve my particular problem.
I’d appreciate it if someone can point me in the right direction on how to resolve this issue 100%. There is no point in using this software if it can’t reliably keep my entire library accurately updated in its database
