Library items show as removed despite existing

For the last couple of weeks, I’ve had an issue where Plex doesn’t see new files added to my movies library or will see all files in one scan then show some (old and new) as deleted despite being able to play them after the next scan. I have four shares for movies, and it appears to affect them all and doesn’t seem related to permissions as some files will be found while others won’t.

These, for example, are on the same drive, in the same parent folder, with the same permissions. Both can be played but The Last Gunfight shows unavailable.

Likewise, it seems that new files are not detected and added to the library (using either automatic or manual scanning).

I’ve tried rebuilding and optimizing the database, emptying trash and rebuilding the library, tweaking the permissions. Drive is fairly new (couple of years), and shows healthy. Nothing seems to help and, as I said, this just started recently despite my setup being unchanged for over a year.

I’m using a Mac Mini and this issue is not present. Please make sure naming is as Per Plex requirements. Now if this is not the case, you may need to look at your Database.

https://support.plex.tv/articles/naming-and-organizing-your-movie-media-files/

Can you forward a naming example / Screenshot.

To find the file that is marked Trash, Go to Title/ Movie Poster Ellipsis, bottom Right ⋮, Info and you will find a fileUnavailable

Click to remove if that is what you want, there maybe two or more files, remove unavailable in that case.

Lastly, check the path to movies Folder.

Database repair:

(Note this is different than the naming in the log files I supplied because I tried changing the name just to see if it make a difference and it didn’t)

It is correct. I’ve rebuilt the library multiple times over the last couple of weeks trying to get this fixed.

I used the built-in SQLite tool to perform some operations in an attempt to address the issue, but I’ll try this one.

∆∆∆ It’s this combination: Plex Files Unavailable but they’re not missing

I’m not sure how I didn’t see that when searching before opening this thread. I’ll give it a shot.
