Plex Media Server keeps stopping after a few seconds

Hi,

I tryed the function “sound analysis” on my music library but found that it somehow messed up my excisting entries (artists became “unknown” and albums got scramled). So i switched it of and tryed to revert to a backup DB. Unfortunatly PMS did not work from then on. I could start it in DSM Pakage Manager, but it just stopped after a second or so. I repared the database with DBRepair, but that didn’t help. I tryed uninstalling with te Keep option and reinstalling an older serverversion (1.41.7.9799-70009799), but got the same result.

Could someone help me fix this?

Something messed up the file/folder permissions for the /PlexMediaServer shared folder.

Thanks for your quick reply. Your suggestion fixed it for me!. Thank you very much.
I was the one who messed up the permissions because i renamed a backup database to the main one, not knowing this cannot be done manualy. I know that now, so lesson learned. I’ll use DBRepair should it become nessesary in the future.
