I am having a problem someone else previously described but I did not see a fix.
I am running PMS on my NAS which is a Win10 computer that has my media files. Every two to three days my PMS will lose connection to that NAS, even though it is on the same computer. I will be watching one of my movies on PLEX (via Fire TV), and then I will get a gray screen and the spinning circle ultimately getting an error message “Cannot connect to the server.”
If I try to connect to PMS from any device, nothing happens. Plex shows my server has a yellow triangle and exclamation point, and it tells me it is unavailable.
When I check that computer, it is connected to the internet with all other programs running perfectly. It appears that the problem is that my PMS cannot connect to Plex.TV. The problem is completely fixed when I restart my NAS computer.
Can someone tell me why this is happening and how to fix it?
