Logs?
Need something to go on.
Can’t diagnose without information.
I HAVE SAME PROBLEM. AFTER UPDATING TO DSM 7. Pms SERVER ON MY DSM 7 STOPS RUNNING AFTER STARTING… NEED HELP
Please see above ^^
Attached is log.
Would you please turn VERBOSE logging off ? (It’s not enabled by default).
With VERBOSE enabled, I can only see 2 minutes of elapsed time meaning there’s nothing I can see in your logs.
When you disable VERBOSE, keep DEBUG enabled, SAVE the change,
then capture again and upload it, I should have what I need to go on.
Log with verbose logging turned off.

Thanks for this.
I’m not yet seeing what you’re describing but did find a certificate issue.
To be safe, I reset the server’s certificate.
Restart the server when you have an opportunity.

Plex Media Server (1).log (418.8 KB)
plex media logs i can see only till 13 november. nothing after that… why is that?
when i goto plex account at plex web app it is asking to get plex media server… and the link directs to plex media server downloads. when i download PMS server for dsm 918+ and install at my synology… it stops after running for few seconds
I just received the same error “manually stopped”. After restarting I downloaded the latest Log.
Using FileStation, drill down until you see “Logs”
Right - click “Logs” → “Compress to Logs.zip”
Attach that file here please.
Here is requested file.
Logs.zip (7.9 MB)
Thanks for the logs.
When you say “Stop”, is Package Center showing PMS “Stopped” or is PMS not responding?
In your logs, I see a couple reasons why it might not be responding
- Software transcoding with subtitle burning.
- Adding a large number of pictures.
The Plex Media Server icon disappears and when I go into package center to restart it says “manually stopped”.
That’s bizarre. Your logs show it shutting down abruptly but there’s no apparent indication other than a flurry of SSDP activity during the transcoding.
What were you playing? Was the CPU pegged at 100% ?
Wasn’t using Plex and the CPU was fine.
Is there any way you can reliably recreate this?
