Plex Media Server not allowing storage change to external drive

Server Version#:0.9.7.13
Player Version#:5.6.1.505

So since the Android Update experience I cannot change the location of the Plex storage location. I have checked enable mounted services for Plex Media Server is allowed. Under Shield storage access it is enabled for Scan for media automatically and Transfer files over network.

I have done a Factory reset on my NVidia Shield TV Pro. Applied the hotfix from NVidia for the Android update. I have cleared cache and data on the Plex app. I have formatted a previously used external USB Hard Drive (exFAT) ejected and rebooted. Plex sees the external drive but won’t let me change the storage from Internal to External.

This setup worked seamlessly before this damn Android upgrade experience. I have spoken to NVidia support who advised me about the Hotfix. I have been in nearly every menu in Plex and NVidia relating to the Plex app. Checking every setting and permissions are on. I’m at my wits end with it.

See the solution marked in Shield experience 9 upgrade, server dissapeared - #818 by rando_83. It’s not a true solution, but should get things working, somewhat.

So it’s the old IT adage of turn if off and on again. Thanks for the feedback will give it a try :+1:

Uh no. You need hotfix #1 from NVidia and the version of PMS posted in that thread, or hotfix #2.

The turning off and on again hasn’t worked btw either.

Before I factory reset my Shield I did get the hotfix from NVidia and install it. Had the same issue of not being able to change Shield storage from internal to external.
