Hi All,
I am having issues setting up my plex server on my new computer.
I have created an account on Plex and downloaded the server program (and logged in with the same Plex account) however whenever I launch Plex (from the sever option, by right clicking the server icon) it takes me to the default Plex page and when I try to add my server to my account (and by extension set up my content folders) I am presented with the “Download Plex Media Server” link, and no visible way of manually directing Plex to the already installed server on my pc.
To clarify I have uninstalled and re-installed the server multiple times, it is installed on the same pc that I have all the media on, and that I am logging into Plex from.
I am not using a VPN and the server is not hosted on a different PC or anything, yet I am unable to get the “Setting Up” page that you normally are meant to get when you first install and boot up Plex.
Any help is much appreciated as this is driving me insane.
