Sort of, re updated app, then figured you have to dick around in the home screen settings and manually apply you folders for Plex not ideal but does get it working, it’s a bug in the home screen layout that seems to be causing it
Set home screen to manual and add your file folders manually hope that helps
I have been having similar problems but I got it to work. The error I had come up was:
“There was an unexpected error loading this library” but only for my TV shows.
I tried numbers reboots, cleared caches etc… nothing would bring back the library on the shield, although I could see it from the web app.
So I took drastic measures.
On the Shield I un-installed the plex server app
From my Mac I used finder to look at the files on the Shield and found the “app.plex” folder and deleted that.
Restarted the Shield
updated the plex server
added the libraries from scratch.
This was a drastic move as I wiped all the old libraries and lost all my “viewed” data. But that doesn’t really bother me.
“Playback has stopped because the connection to the Plex Media Server has been lost. Please ensure the server is available and retry”
I have to uninstall the app and rely on the version on there by default to get it to work. Strangely even with the version that doesn’t work I can cast Plex to the Shield and it works.
Has anyone getting this error message been able to resolve the issue without having to downgrade to an old version?
