Plex Media Server not showing my local server nor option to add one

Server Version#: 1.41.8.9834
Player Version#: 1.109.0

I confirmed with other Plex users that my interface is showing up completely different from other accounts. My homepage does not show “add or manage library” option and there is no option to “add or remove a local server”.

It looks like you’re trying to access your server via the hosted web app but there’s no server linked to your account (based on the log).
Is this a new setup?

If so, you’ll first need to link the server with your account, before you can access it from other apps. You can do that e.g. using the bundled web app (http://127.0.0.1:32400/web if you’re on the same Windows machine). After the setup is complete and the server linked with your account, you’ll also be able to access and manage it using the hosted web app or other Plex clients.

Hi,

No. I had my server connected, but I received a notification that it was disconnected, so I removed it and intended to reconnect it, but since the removal, I have not seen the option to add it.

Ich verwende die selbe Version von Server und Player habe einen totalen Zugriffsverlust seit dem Aufspielen des Server Updates 1.41.8.
Alle Netzwerkfunktion/ zugriffe sind fehlerfrei.

Even if it’s not an initial setup… can you access your server with the local IP? Clicking the PMS icon in your Windows system tray and selecting the option „Open Plex“ should do the same.

Okay. So I just reinitialized the account and I can see my server now. The problem now is with my remote access.

It shows private is good and using TCP PORT 32400. Public is showing a Green check, but shows no internet. I went to a website to check my access to TCP Port 32400 and it says could not see your service on IP port 32400.

I tried 32400, 32401, and 32402 and received the same results.

I disabled my firewall settings and it connects, but disconnects a few seconds after.

Plex shows a green checkmark / remote access status indicator while testing the connection. So if it switches from green to red after a few seconds (up to 1-2 minutes), that simply means your remote access isn’t working to begin with.

Did you already have a look at the related troubleshooting support article?

https://support.plex.tv/articles/200931138-troubleshooting-remote-access/

There’s also a guide with some more details on how to troubleshoot remote access issues.

Have you already verified if there’s an IP reservation for your server and a port forward for Plex (public port can be random, private side must point to the server’s local IP and tcp port 32400).

Okay. Thank you. I fixed it. The issue was on my home router.

That was very helpful.
