Plex media server not starting successfully

Hi all

first time posting , long time plex user. I have been experiencing the transcoder issue since the windows update on july 10th. have followed all the recommendations in the other thread ( [Windows 10 Update KB4338819 issue] Conversion Failed. The transcoder exited due to an error ) and it appears to have broken my plex.

Plex is installed , the .exe starts but the server doesnt start from there, no logs are generated and I cannot see anything that indicates a issue. the server was starting fine up until the reboot after installing the updated cumulative.

it just sits there like this

Windows 10 1803 with all of the latest kbs ( removed 4340917 to test if that was causing, no effect)
Plex version is the latest 1.13.5.5291

As there are no logs its hard to find anything. Have done the following

Removed the last microsoft update installed
repaired the plex install
removed plex completely, cleared all data in the appdata folder and rebooted . then reinstalled

any ideas would be welcome

the problem was caused by a space in the registry key at the end. as this was a new install then this must have come from the installer generating the key

Registry area HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Plex, Inc.\Plex Media Server has to have correct entry for LocalAppDataPath
