PLEX Media Server on NVIDIA Shield TV will not pick up all my media held on Windows Microserver

I have a HP N54L Microserver. It stores all my movies, music and photos. It is a bit slow (for transcoding due to it’s lacklustre processor). I have an Nvidia Shield TV 16gb with External storage and shared network storage with the N54L Microserver. All 2,300 films i have have been scraped and are available on the Shield TV PLEX Media Server- no problems there. However, no many how many times I scan, re-scan, fetch metadata for Music and Photos, it never, ever scans my full collection. The music library scans only 1,540 albums, instead of the 5,000 plus that actually exist. The Photo library similarly shows only a thousand photos, whereas there are thousands and thousands.

Can anyone help explain why the Nvidia Shield TV Plex Server just cannot retrieve all the media held on the Microserver? I have the automatic scan setting on, and then do this manually. In any internet browser I go to the Shield’s Plex Media Server, click on the Music node options and Scan. I do the same for Photos. Then I check the Activity Monitor and it appears to be only scanning Movies (which are already fine), before the scan ends. And I’m left with neither Music nor Photos are fully scraped and available in the Shield TV Plex Media server.

Please help!
