- Does the workstation you are using have an ip address that starts with:
192.168.0
?
Yes, the IP address starts with 192. Sorry for the typo.
I re-checked that the claimed status of my server is “0”. I went to the Control Panel in Qfinder and selected Shared Folders. The PlexData folder already exists there. However, under the Action selections for PlexData, the Edit Shared Folder Permissions is grayed out. I am logged in with administrator settings (I have the admin user disabled). I notice that the Volume for the PlexData folder is blank.
What happens, if you browse to http://198.168.0.123:32400/web from another browser, or from incognito mode ?
I made sure my PC’s VPN was disabled. The I used the Chrome browser and arrived at Plex Web. I signed in, and went to Settings. I cannot find my server.
Summarize:
- You confirmed your workstation ip started with
192
- But I asked if it started with
192.168.0
?
- But I asked if it started with
- I asked if you could try with another browser, and still not confirmed, or?
My IP is 192.168.0.123 and that is what I used to make sure the status is “0”, and is also what I used to start the Plex Web app. When starting the web app I used the Chrome browser. I normally use Firefox.
