Plex Media Server PMS keeps crashing for no reason (again)

Ok, I understand, I was doing it since in other posts they told me to attach the logs every time the crash occurred.

Thank you again and I look forward to your answer.

I don’t know if this helps, but every time PMS crashes and I check the task manager I see that there is a Plex Update Service running, however, I have automatic updates disabled because I like to do it manually until I have positive references about the new version. Why is this Update Service running, is it generating a conflict?

it still checks for updates. Also if an app is signed into your account when an update is available. it will ask if you want to update which one can start from the app

Thanks for the clarification. I remain very attentive then to a possible solution for the constant crashes of the PMS.

Hello, t’s me again … I would like to know if you have any good news in my case, the PMS still keeps crashing and I don’t have a possible solution from PLEX.

I didn’t send more logs according to your indication, but the problem persists and is quite annoying.

I don’t know if this will help but most of the time PMS crashes, the following error appears:

DEBUG - [TranscodeOutputStream] Changed instance plex-transcode-7uxue0zcb5tw2bfjl22nhd0w-8291896a-74cd-4e82-85e5-db0ef973cf10 which had to -1; was at chunk -1 with offset -1.000000 now at chunk -1

That is relevant to your crashes - we are repeatedly logging this and we need to establish what is starting this. See my latest post in your other forum thread here Server keeps crashing - 1.22.2.4264 - #145 by sa2000
