I’m not sure what my problem is. Plex has been working fine for me lately, then all the sudden yesterday I noticed Remote Access wasn’t working properly.
Normally, resetting plex works, that didn’t this time. I also tried clearing my browser history to see if that did anything, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, that also didn’t work, I tried rolling back the version and that also didn’t work.
Currently, my PMS won’t let me sign in when I open it, it shows my server needing claimed, when I click the drop down menu and click sign in it just spins and says “Plex Cannot Be Reached.” I also can’t even go to plex.tv, it just hangs and won’t load, and I’ve tried on three different browsers.
I’ve tried resetting my modem and router, restarting my computer (lots of times), I went into command line and tried doing “netsh winsock reset” and that also did nothing.
It seems like there is something keeping plex from accessing the network. I’ve tried disabling my firewall and that also didn’t work. I’m at a complete loss of what to do.
Another thing that is odd, if I enable my VPN things load properly it seems like, but once the VPN is off it goes back to the same issues.
Should I uninstall and delete all my plex files and then reinstall or is there anything else I should try?
