Hi all,
i’m a Plex Pass lifetime member andI’m having issue with remote accessing my PMS.
I’m running PMS 1.9.7.4460 on Ubuntu Server over a ISP and I have my self generated certificate with nginx reverse proxy on my server with a static public IP address (1gbit connection) and a correct A record on my own DNS domain configuration. (I followed this discussion).
As you can see in my 1st image attached
when I setup remote connection settings I got all green and everything shows it’s ok.
I don’t know why, after a few seconds I have clicked on the apply button I see the same page is becoming like this
and remain like this until I click retry and it become green again and then back red error again.
With PMP application on Windows, Samsung TVs, Android devices and all browsers, everything is showing ok (green icon) and I can stream 4k .mp4 files with no problem with DIRECT REMOTE ACCESS.
First of all I would like to know if the remote access I get might be an issue for playbacks (I have FORCED secured connection on my PMS config and I repeat most of my devices stream correctly my .mp4 pre-optimized files).
Then I don’t know why PS4 plex app randomly shows no direct connection (and I have pc and android device at home working correctly at the same time!!) and limit my playbacks to 720p @2mbps which generates transcoding processing on my server which I do not want.
Any help is appreciated.
