Can't enable Remote Access

Player Version#: 4.34.4

Server was up&running from few month, after an update of ubuntu server and a reboot the remore access doesn’t work, i’ve made the nat rule on my firewall (pfsense), and the port result open from outside, but i can connect to the server only in not safe mode, how i can solve my problem? I have to disable safe connection, only with this setting disable i can reach the server from outside, but not from apps like plexamp and plex for android.

@chuckpa i’ve seen the problem on my log “CERT: Could not fetch certificate from the cloud: 404”

Maybe i need refreshed certificate or cleared?

I have an issue also with remote access post this latest update. for me its running on Windows 10. Remote access working fine for years, the a couple of friends complained the couldnt access Plex. On checking the remote access it was showing red, disabling and enabling it would go green for 10 sec then switch back to red, no remote access. I tried disabling my UPnP on the router, manually set the port forwarding and set the port manually. Still the same issues, strangely he can connect via their browser, but their Roku is failing. For me on my internal network my Rasplex (Pi) devices are failing, but the Samsung TV app is fine, as is browser access. Will be rolling back to see if it addresses the issue.

I’ve got a similar issue on Windows, since restarting my server a couple nights ago, remote access just won’t work. I opened a separate thread, but if I should close that and track here, let me know. Thanks!

Have you examined the logs?

Do they show a 404 error while attempting to obtain a certificate?

@ChuckPa, I’m new to troubleshooting on Plex, been pretty steady so far. Is there a quick way to get a clean error log? Or should I just download the log that’s currently there to review?

The best way to help us figure it out is:

  1. Settings - Server - General - Show Advanced
    a. DEBUG logging ON
    b, VERBOSE logging OFF
  2. Save
  3. Restart PMS
  4. Wait 1 minute
  5. Download the logs
  6. Attach the ZIP file here

Thanks for the logs.

There is no clear error regarding the certificate but also no clear success.
It’s using the intermediate certificate.

It can’t establish itself (Map to a specific IP address) with Plex.tv therefore it won’t enable Remote Access

I’ve reset the certificate to see if this is another manifestation of the same problem we’re seeing in Linux.
