Hi Guys,

Very new here and this is my second post so apologies if it’s in the wrong area.

I’m having issues connecting to my Plex server. It says Not Available Outside Your Network.

I’ve played around with my router (Netgear D7000) and UpNP is definitely enabled. When I look at the UPnP Portmap Table I can see the Plex Server in there but when I try to connect, it loads, goes green for a second as if it’s connected and then disconnects immediately.

I should also add that I tried disabling my firewall with no luck and I also disabled UPnP and tried manually port forwarding and that also failed.

Anyone got any pointers to put me in the right direction?

Also is there any further tech support for Plex or is it all on the forums.

When all else fails, uninstall and try again.

Have now fixed this by uninstalling Plex completely and starting from scratch.

I managed to find an easy solution for remote access using a Netgear D7000 router. I had to reserve a LAN IP address on the router for my server (I have the Plex server on a NAS) and then Port forward incoming traffic for the Plex application in the router.
