My plex media Server in my Nvidia shield is taking up all of my internal storage and it never did that before. I connected the Shield and my laptop through network sharing.
The internal Plex media server has a folder named Logs. When I open it it has several Logs and analysis files. Can I remove those files through the local network and keep them on my laptop to make room on the shield? If not can I delete them? My Nvidia shield has hardly any apps installed on it, the Plex server has over 8gbs of used internal storage from the Shield. Can someone help me with an answer? I also ask for help in these forums but no Plex representatives ever help. I do hate that Plex has no customer service department.
There’s 2 parts to the answer of your question, both covered in the available support articles:
On a Shield Pro if I choose to keep library data on the USB drive that holds media, (plenty of free space there)… are there any downsides? (I figure it may be a tad slower at least?)
Main downside: You’ll run into trouble if the USB drive is not connected or takes too long to spin up.

thanks. do you know if the external
storage (USB without separate power supply needs to be plugged into an “always on” USB port… or if it is safe to let the USB port sleep when the Shield sleeps?
