Plex media server will not connect or install

i changed my password and now i cannot get the server to connect, cannot access local media ?

Did you maybe opt to sign-out all devices when you changed your password?
In that case you’ll also need to re-link your server to your account (that’s another device which has been signed out…).

In order to re-link your server, make sure to access it locally, e.g.

  • from the same machine, opening http://127.0.0.1:32400/web in a browser
  • from a machine in the same home network / subnet, opening http://[PMS IP address]:32400/web

Open Settings > [Server Name] > General… there should be an option to Sign In at the center of that settings page.

there is no server name ?

Are you accessing the machine from within the same subnet?
[Server Name] is a placeholder and should show the name of your server instead.
