Plex Media Server Windows 11. Instant off

Hello, I have been using plex for quite a while now for personal media and live tv & shows.

I built a computer, installed Plex Media Server not home to get the version but it’s the latest today. I have windows 11 Pro

After install, everything worked fine. As soon as I reboot the pc the app doesn’t function at all. The plex media server taskbar icon shows up for half a second and goes away.

Any ideas? I checked windows event viewer there are zero errors coming from the program or windows.

Also a uninstall and reinstall doesn’t fix the issue. Because I have a lot of time on my hands if I reinstall windows 11 pro and reinstall PMS works again just until reboot. All drivers are installed and no issues from pc at all.

Any help would be great.

Also please note Plex Media Player works completely fine I forgot to mention that

This is typical if you have moved the Plex data folder to an external drive, which is either not connected on reboot (not unlocked due to encryption?) or was connected before with a different drive letter.

Hello, the media I have is stored on a sata6 hdd

The application is installed on main C: as all other applications. If that helps any. So the media I have is D:.

Have you checked that it’s not just hidden beneath the ⌃ ?

This is merely a snippet of a log. Are you saying that there is not anything more in the log file?
Are you running anything else on that machine? Particularly a file sharing client (Torrent etc.)?
If so, disable those, then try starting Plex server again. Use the regular Windows Start menu.

I do not have any form of downloading on this PC its strictly setup normally. I do the occasional play games other than that, no extra software that isn’t driver or software from the motherboard disc. That was a copy and paste of the latest log file when the PC was started. located by using the method you linked above. Is there any other logs or information I can give?

Do you have this machine connected directly to your internet modem? Or have it placed in a DMZ?
