Hi everyone. I’m new. I’ve been googling about this for a while and searching this forum for my issue, but other than generalized advise I haven’t found anything that has helped with my issue.
I’ve agonized about where to post this and perhaps I’m overlooking a similar topic or a resolution somewhere but I have been turning over rocks for a couple days and I’ve come up empty handed. I did everything I could not to post a needless post, please don’t crucify me if I messed up.
Okay, here’s my issue. We have a library full of movies, tv shows, and music (like six songs lol) that all have more or less flawless metadata because I spent days (maybe weeks) scrubbing the file names to be exactly the way they’re described by the Plex help topics.
I should take a moment to point out that I am not the server owner, I am his roommate. He set me up with remote access to the Plex library drive so I can add/remove content and scrub filenames for proper formatting. The server is setup to automatically scan new content and add it to the server.
So I recently added a show to the library and Plex added it to the server automatically as per usual. It recognizes the title, pulls all the artwork, pulls all the correct episode descriptions and other metadata (like actors, air dates, writers, etc), but it will not pull the episode title no matter what I do to the filenames.
The show in question is Archer (2009) so I’m not sure if it’s a known issue with that show’s metadata or whether it’s something I’m doing wrong. I can’t imagine it’s a server issue if this is the only show it’s happening on but I can’t be certain of that.
Any advise would be very greatly appreciated.
BGR
