I can no longer filter by mood nor create a Plex mix.
?
Before I recreate the library (I have the premium pass), I’m concerned that these features are no longer available.
I don’t see them listed in the Features Chart.
If they are still a feature of premium, what should I do?
At some point in time, in the last month, Plex no longer shows “Moods” for individual tracks. It’s been moved to the album. Not only that, all of the moods that were originally associated with those tracks from the album, were completely lost, so now there is none associated with the album either.
A full step backwards, as far as I’m concerned. I listed the moods that were assigned to two Elvis Costello albums I have here: No Longer Able to Edit Track Moods and give my reasons for it being the wrong approach.
I think I’ve read every thread regarding Plex Mix, and the new metadata features for music that are supposed to be coming. There’s never been a “real” answer to the question, will Plex Mix or something similar, return. Just vague, maybe - maybe not answers. I’m hoping the “temporarily unavailable” Plex mix statement in the announcement holds, but my hopes are fading fast.
And no indication when the “awesome” new features for our music library will actually be available, or even what these features will be.
Quite disappointed in this extended temporary delay.
Thanks! I kept searching for “Plex Mix” and variations there of trying to figure out what is going on but failed to bring up the announcement you link to.
For future searchers,
As of July 1, 2019, “Plex Mix and the ability to create new Premium Music Libraries will be temporarily unavailable.”
