Hi All,
Not sure what category to post this under, so here goes.
So I upgraded to a plex pass so that I could create a Premium Music library which would allow me to use the “Moods” feature of these libraries. I have created a premium music library, but when I follow the instructions on how to use this (ie view music by track, click new filter, select Moods) there are no Moods available to select.
What am I missing here. The documentation and forums don’t seem to offer much in the way of suggestions.
regards
Nigel
Go to your Music library, select the Track view, click the Options icon on the left. Select “New Filter”, and pick your current mood. Now go play some happy music for me. : )

@mfhulskemper: That is what nigelbasel said, that the option to select “Moods” is not there to select. I have the same problem. See screenshot:
Depending on the size of your music library, it can take a rather long time until all your music has gotten tagged.

The Moods feature seems temperamental.
My music files were imported to iTunes, but not consolidated by iTunes (i.e. in my own single folder, with my own naming conventions)
I created a Plex library from this folder, using embedded tags (they were damn near perfect) but without the iTunes advanced option selected. It’s a big library and took maybe 12+ hours to build. Everything was perfect, except no Moods in the filters.
A friend had Moods but a differently organised file system, so, I thought “What the hell.”
In iTunes I set the preferences for iTunes to organise my library and then ran “Consolidate”. After all, it copies the files so my originals would say where they were with my file names.
I then created a new Plex library of exactly the same tracks only this time using embedded metadata AND the iTunes option selected on. The Plex library was created in just over 2 hours and dozens of Moods were now present in filters.
No idea why, but there it is!
“The Moods feature seems temperamental.”
Too funny!!!
