Please help, new to Plex I have a massive collection spread across various NAS drives, but Plex is mixing content, for example on my NAS I have a folder called Kids Stuff, I create a new library on Plex called Kids stuff it the decides to take films from other NAS drive folders (Films 1, Films 2 etc) and add them to the kids stuff library, which is not very helpful as I don’t want the kids watching 28 days later…
I have only selected the kids stuff folder for the library.
Do you mean within the same library or in the dashboard? The dashboard will list everything from libraries that are allowed to show in the dashboard. While the per library view should show only that library.
If you want to prevent the little ones from seeing wrong content. The easy way would be to create a separate profile for them and share only the wanted libraries with that profile.
Hi its mixing libraries, ie I have a library called kids stuff, that is set to look a folder on my NAS called kids stuff, yet a few not many films are being imported to that kids stuff library, from a folder on the same NAS called films, its very weird its not like its importing the entire films folder just maybe 30 or so films (so far).
Ive been looking for a solid alternative for Air Video HD and thought Plex would be the answer but so far, I am still running AV for family and friends.
Hmm… That sounds odd. To begin with, I would check that neither of the libraries are set to scan the same folders. I’m not sure how Plex handles directories internally, but it would sound plausible that it’s actually getting confused and half writing to different libraries.
Other than that, I’m out of ideas. I have multiple libraries in my setup and I’ve yet to see similar behavior.
on closer inspection it seems it just the cover artwork and the name that is wrong, when you play 28 days later (for example) Peppa Pig actually plays…
Let me check all the files names, it seems the auto cover search might be getting mixed up, that’s better news
