Good morning. i bought a nas wd my cloud ex 2 ultra and i installed plex.
Gorgeous, i plan to buy a pass soon.
But I have a problem that I can’t solve.
I created a folder that I called “film” and another called “TV series” all right, both are seen with their own covers and so on.
But when I click “analyze” on the “movies” folder, on the home page it also adds the contents of the “tv series” folder.
The path set for the folders is right, I have checked it several times.
I hope for your answer.
thank you
It’s not clear how you have it setup but you need to have a library for movies and tv in plex and point each to the matching folders. Sounds like you have both folders under the movie lib.
Thank you for your answer. I have 2 separate folders, one called Movies and one called Tv Series.
When I analyze the Films folder, I find the images of the previews of the TV series and all the episodes between the film covers ![]()
Do not confuse your drive folders with Plex Libraries. You need to create two Plex Libraries, one for TV and one for your Movies. Then when you add the folders to these libraries you need to point them to the associated drive folders. You also need to specify the Plex library Type if it is for Movies or TV.
Hi, I’m not sure how to start a new topic in this forum. Anyway, on my mac, plex would not stay open. The little symbol would flash in the top right and then disappear and plex would not work. I read that there were some files I could delete to make it work again but I deleted everything associated with plex and was forced to create everything new from scratch.
The problem now is that before, all of my TV shows were categorized by the name of the show complete with the actors listed, trailers, etc. Now it’s just one big dump of every episode of every show I have in a big list. How do I have plex organize my tv shows again?
Thanks for any and all help.
Wow, I figured it out! I had created the folder as “other video” instead of TV shows, and that’s all it was. Fixed
