Plex music folders are not consistent with folders on server

Server Version#: 1.6.3.1009-57cf57c8

This is my first topic, so bear with me. On my Win 10 machine, I have a music folder with folders underneath for various artist and artists/albums. For example “Beatles - Rubber Soul”, “Beatles - Assorted” or just “Beatles”. When I add my music library, the individual folders do not show as they are on the server. Plex will show only “Beatles”. If I select “Beatles”, I will see various albums under the folder, but that is not how they are stored on my machine. I’ve arranged my music so that everything under Music was one level down and named each folder so it’s easy to determine the content. Plex does not reflect this view at all. And some folders do not show up at all, probably because the folder or content is not marked with the name of the artist.

Is there a way for Plex to just use my folder naming convention and not modify the folders to what it thinks is the best name and arrangement? I’d like to select the Folder view on the Plex player and see exactly the folders on my computer.

Select the ‘Folders’ view.

I have selected Folders view. I still only see Artists names. Even when I’m creating my music library, I do not see the folders that are on my computer. Is there a way to attach a screen shot with these topics? That would be easier.

Or:

Folder view should look like this (my structure is Genre/Artist/Album):

Click on ‘Celtic’:

You have the choice of Grid or List view:

It should be showing exactly your folder structure.
