I did something recently in an attempt to get Plex to not give me Last.fm’s style metadata. And now I’m learning that it also erased all of the Record Label data that I had.
I’m trying to reverse this but I can’t remember what I did.
My library’s agent and scanner are both Plex Music, and when I go into Settings > Agents, Last.fm is checked and the boxes “Use genre tags from Last.fm” is checked.
But still I refresh metadata (or add another album) and I don’t get any style/mood or record label data.
There’s been an issue with the music metadata api the last few days, off and on and last night being the most recent with a warning label here on the forum. You may have to do a metadata refresh on the affected albums or the entire library. However you stated you had thing possibly manually altered, which I don’t know if retrieving a backup of the database would do anything but it’s worth a shot. Hopefully you have that checkbox checked where Plex saves a the database every three days.
