Recently, I upgraded to Plex Pass and I’m tapping into the music features of the service. Among the features include download album reviews. However, I do not see them when I add music. Am I doing something wrong at all or are they not included anymore?

Not all albums are going to have reviews, even of some well known and popular albums, so they cannot be downloaded.ATM, there is an issue with Plex displaying album reviews. Plex is downloading the relevant information, but for some reason it is not being displayed.
The devs are aware of the issue and we are waiting for a fix but I cannot say if/when that will be available.
Thank you for your response.
If/when Plex decides to fix the issue, will users have to refresh metadata? That would be a lot of work. Thank you in advance.

When the fix is released you can move your mouse over the name of your Music library and then click on … and select Refresh All Metadata. That will refresh all of the files in your Music library at once.Or, you can leave it to the butler! He will sort it out during nightly maintenance.
In doing this, it can take a really long time. There has to be a better fix to this.

There is. I found it long ago.
Have more than one Music Library with less stuff in each one.
I currently have:
Music - Blues
Music - Rock
Music - Smooth Jazz
Very soon I’m going to add two more Genres - when I figure out what they’ll be and things start grinding to a halt. Right now updating is really fast, but should I need to refresh I know it’s gonna take a while. There’s really no ‘work-around’ for it.
When that day comes and I need to refresh I’ll probably Plex Dance the entire Music System removing all Music, emptying trash and cleaning bundles. Then create my new and improved Genre structure and start dropping stuff in - some at a time until it’s done. All my stuff is compliant and just drops in without issue (except the 7 or 8 items that for some reason require a Fix Match). It’s not that big a deal. ALL the music has been meticulously created with embedded covers and the appropriate tags in pristine structures with proper names. It’s plug and play all the way - but it will take some time due to the sheer numbers (not as many as some - I’m sure).
Maintaining your Plexiverse sometimes takes some inventive measures and sometimes takes time. That’s just the way it is.
Expecting Plex to do something it doesn’t already do is a dream. If there’s anything you can do as a work-around, you’d better be finding out what it is and doing it.
Plex are the guys that haven’t been interested in fixing a bug so old the work-around has a registered trademark and is drawing social security:
The Plex Dance®
I rest my case.
