Plex music scan: incorrectly labeling many discs as "Disc 1"

Server Version#:1.23.5.4862 (smb)
Player Version#: v1.33.0.2444-a220eae4 (Windows 10)

I’m having lots of trouble with multi-disc boxed sets.

I checked the files with Windows file browser and audio files are labeled as “part of set”: 1/8, 2/8, 3/8, 4/8, 5/8, 6/8, 7/8, 8/8 (I have also tried “part of set”: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8)

Plex is incorrectly labeling many of the Disc #s as “Disc 1”. If I have twenty Disc box set, Plex may incorrently label ten of the discs as “Disc 1”

Any idea why when scanning music, Plex is incorrectly labeling a bunch of discs as “Disc 1”? I’ve uploaded a picture with my Plex settings. One more thing: with multi-disc compilations, how would I merge the multi-disc sets automatically, when scanning?

Have you ever edited embedded metadata?
Writing “part of set” in the file name won’t work.
