I had other issues with my server so I didnt realize the issue till lately. I added a few episodes from Halo season 2 to my server and clicked scan. Scan took 2 seconds and did not show the new season. I added a movie and the same thing… scan for 2 seconds and nothing.
moved the entire Halo folder out, emptied trash, scanned and halo stayed in the listing.
I am not great at this part of plex so appreciate any help!

Season 1 been here for ever and still shows fine.. interesting removing season 1, it does not go away from plex.. stays in the listing..

fyi used filebot to rename like always.
filebot still moves files as i have for years now.. just plex not updating to add them anymore.

Drop the show title from your season folder names.

Only the top one will work.
i have had it working this way for years now… unless something has changed.
I actually have 3. TV - Shows then under that is kids tv shows, truck shows and tv shows.
this way 3 separate areas show up on left in plex… you can jump to a specific truck or kids shows or all…
every show I have is listed out that way for a long time. Unless a recent version changed that?

Edit your library named TV Shows
Go to the tab “Add Folders”
which folder path has been added there?
back from work, getting ready to look at this and I RDP into my system. Windows 10 sitting at the “lets finish windows” screen!!!
I clicked through, finished, etc…
now everything is working fine. Was not like this when i started posting as I was in windows.
I am golden now all!!!
thx for the support - i know it was a weird one and I didnt get it with the scan circle lasting 2 seconds… now it is going on and on for minutes.
