I added the most recent season of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure to my server and it is not being picked up by either the automatic or manual library scan.
The season was imported and renamed using Sonarr based on TVDB info so I am pretty confident in the file/folder naming format which was used for the previous 4 seasons. I have restarted the Plex Media server program to no effect.
I did notice that during the initial import, despite the season folder correctly being marked as “Season 5” Sonarr was assigning it as season 4. I am unsure if this has any bearing on the matter but it was the only thing out of the norm during the whole process.
The folder is \JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure (2012)\Season 5 with the episodes being named JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure (2012) - S05E01 - {Episode Title} {Quality Title} and so on. I am at a loss as to why they are not being picked up by Plex.
Your files names look fine so if they are not being picked up at all then I would guess maybe a permissions thing. What OS are you running your server on? (or if MP4s embedded metadata might be screwed up adding it to a different season but guessing you would have noticed that)
Looks like the show was released today so it might be 24-48 hours before we have metadata ( but still should be added without metadata)
I’m running Windows 10 Pro and the files are .mkv. I did think that how recent the season was could be impacting the metadata as I had to trigger a refresh in Sonarr to get the episode titles. But I think in the past I have been able to add seasons of shows without metadata being present (I had added p90x prior to it being added to TVDB) and it still detected and just used the episode number as the title.
yeah it should show with generic info like “Episode 1”
Would need to look at the server logs to see why it might not have seen them.
Though you might try the plex dance with that season which will clear out any bad metadata and file hashes etc then add them back and scan ( leaving sonarr out of it since they seemed to be named fine already).
