Hi, I am using the latest Plex version.
For some reason, my Plex is no longer finding duplicate movies and combining them automatically like it normally does.
I don’t recall changing any settings. Is anyone else having this issue? Is there a solution?

Something a bit odd I’ve noticed in metadata are duplicate entries returned for the same movie. Fix match on one of those, and see if there is a second Enchanted listed. Change it to that, and I met it’ll merge them.
Hey thanks for the input. Yeah I actually had already been doing just that and it works, but is super tedious because I have such a large library to comb through just to find the duplicates. This is a 100% new issue for me as I am always updating content and this started happening just in the last day or two.
Typically I just use the movie library filter “duplicates” to find all the duplicate content and remove them accordingly. I think this latest Plex update screwed something up.

After converting a movie library to use the new “Plex Movie” agent, you must Refresh Metadata for the whole library. Looks like you didn’t do that.

AAaaaaaahhhh, that I did not do. Ok. I guess this will solve both my issues then… 1. create “collections” for already added content and 2. merge all duplicates.

Mine always merge and I have to split them apart. That’s default behaviour? I like to keep different versions of a film split, otherwise I’ll keep an HD version and a 4K version merged. Thanks for the info.
Yes, that’s the behavior I want. I used handbrake to render my movie collection and accidentally rendered a ton of them as 720p instead of 1080p.
I guess I just have to refresh the metadata and it will do what I am talking about 
Yah I use that too. Usually I have a 1080 and a 4K version, but in those cases, I like to split them. But i can do either. If you Refresh, it will probably merge, just don’t change any metadata for either of the files. When I want to keep them separate, I add 4K to the title and they stay split. But if I remove that, they will rejoin the next time I refresh.
Before the new agent, they would merge anyway, and the Metadata I added would be erased and changed back to what it originally was. So they new agent makes it easier to keep them joined, or split them.
