NAS: WD MyCloud PR2100
Plex Media Server: PlexMediaServer-1.18.5.2309-f5213a238-MyCloudPR2100 13.03.25
Plex for Mac: Version 1.6.2.994-e05b79d6
Yesterday I came home from vacation and updated the Plex Media Server version on my NAS. I was able to watch a show on either Plex for Mac or the Plex iOS app for around an hour. Then I got a ‘server is currently unavailable error’.
I can remotely log into the server from my browser and the library files are accessible on my Macbook so there is nothing I can see wrong with my NAS. I did however reboot the NAS just in case that helped but it didn’t.
I then thought maybe the file I downloaded had corrupted. So I went to https://www.plex.tv/media-server-downloads/ > selected Western Digital > Choose Package > My Cloud PR2100 and saved the file. I then installed the package manually on the server as usual.
The Plex apps were back up and running which was great but after an hour or so, suddenly it all stopped and I am seeing the ‘server currently unavailable’ error message on all devices/apps.
Is anyone else experiencing this? Am I missing something? I’ve never had this issue in the 2+ years I’ve been running this set up and I don’t know how to resolve it permanently. I also can’t find an existing/similar report on the forum but if I’ve missed one my apologies.

This is so frustrating.
