Hey guys, I have plex docker running on my unraid nas. Tv shows are recorded on my windows machine, then processed through MCEbuddy to create chapter xml file.
For some reason, while mcebuddy is creating the chapter marks, plex is refusing to see them.
Everything looks right on mcebuddy side and the plex side and this was working until a few weeks ago.
Not sure what to make of this. Any help would be appreciated.
Plex never looked at chapters.xml or any similar file alongside. It does look at chapters within the media itself for those that support it (such as MKV or MP4 files). Though there is an issue in the current version of the server where it doesn’t see them when media is added, but manually running analyze on the file in the Web GUI resolves that.

Is there a way to check if the video file has chapter marks.
I use vlc to view the same video files and it can see the chapter marks.
Shouldn’t it do the same in Plex?
