Happened after upgrading to 1.19. I added new TV data…no metadata added. Refreshed metadata…nothing.
Attempting to attach logs but I see nowhere to do so. This is from the TVDB log though:

I’m having the same issue…same problem as you. Cannot update anything for my TV show library!
Are you using a 3rd-party anti-virus software which tries to inspect encrypted network communication?
Same issue here on two different servers in different cities.
Why would antivirus now need to be disabled after it’s been working fine for many years?
This was merely intended as a test, to find clues about the cause.
No such luck - disabling did nothing.
No 3rd party AV here but I tried disabling windows defender and firewall to no avail.
Shows are matching up and the show description text is filling but no images and no episode information.
Added 6 complete series on one server and 2 on another, same issue on both.

Same for me here. Not running any special 3rd party apps or any system enhancements. on MacOS. No TV show metadata to what I am adding.
I’m either getting “No matches found” or if I do find one I get the same as Trooper905, where the show has been found with description, photos of actors etc. but no tv show art. Have to manually download off the internet and drag and drop. Some of the shows are obvious ones that can be found on TVDB such as Prison Break. I’ve never had this issue before.
I think something must be going on with TVDB. I just used filebot to name and TVDB wouldn’t work…but movie DB (under TV) worked. Plex is trying to get metadata but it takes forever.

I’m having the same problem, but with movies too. I added several new shows and movies over the last two days and none of the metadata is loading. I’ve tried clearing out the cache and clearing bundles, running metadata refresh, and nothing is working. So it may be an issue with TVDB and TMDB.

Yeah been having problems with trying to add/match stuff late last night and this morning as well.

Getting similar errors (pulled from diff parts/times of tvdb agent logs):

OR
2020-04-04 14:46:34,270 (151bcb9fc700) : INFO (init :175) - Problem with the request: The read operation timed out
For what it’s worth, it seems to be working on my end now.
From the thread on tvdb forum “the API has recovered, but will be slower than normal for the next few hours.”
Looks like it wasn’t a plex issue
Working for me too…Most of the time I’ve had metadata problems it’s been TVDB and not Plex.
