Plex Not adding "Fear the walking dead" show and is confusing it with "The Walking Dead"

I have the show “The Walking Dead” and I have the show “Fear the Walking Dead”. Plex will not add FTWD to my show list. If I sort by folders it will show FTWD. If I click on the that folder and go to the episodes it displays the episodes from “The Walking Dead”. (In the images provided the last image is a screenshot within the sort by folders - Fear the Walking Dead - Season 1. It is showing Walking Dead episodes but walking dead episodes are not in that folder..??

The show The Walking Dead is working perfectly fine. Just Fear the Walking Dead is messed up.

I have confirmed perfect naming scheme per Plex recommendations. Example of naming: /Fear The Walking Dead /Season 01 /Fear the Walking Dead - s01e01

How can I refresh/unbreak this?

Easiest solution, is to go to the show level and split it apart, check both new shows and then rematch the incorrect one.

Overall your naming could use some improvement.

If you want to save yourself a lot of time I would recommend using Download - tinyMediaManager and use:

Episode format:
${showTitle} - S${seasonNr2}E${episodeNr2} - ${title}

Folder format:
${showTitle} (${showYear}) {tvdb-${tvShow.ids.tvdb}}/Season ${seasonNr2}

as the new name format.

@dbirch gave excellent advice.

You might also try the Plex Dance and before putting it back into your library, rename your Fear the Walking Dead folder to include the TMDB reference and year (see the naming article from dbirch above). So for that one you’d do \TV Shows\Fear the Walking Dead (2015) {tmbd-62286} and that should help force a match for it. The number comes from the URL for the show at TMDB: /tv/62286-fear-the-walking-dead
