Plex not creating a TV Link from Parents place

Hello , I am down at my parents place in the country trying to re configure plex to connect to my server at home , For some reason no matter what i do it will not generate a link code. I have tried to add them as a managed user , Guest user and a home user , I have sent invitiation and have clicked the link yet no matter what i do i can not connect to my server. Any help appreciated Thank you in advance

Unfortunately, this TV won’t be usable to stream from remote Plex servers anymore. It only “speaks” an old, broken, and insecure communications protocol, which recently has been disabled at plex.tv

The only way to restore access to remote Plex servers would be to either:

  • replace the TV with a newer model
  • add a streaming device with Plex client (e.g. Apple TV, nVidia Shield, Roku, FireTV 
)
