Plex not downloading metadata anymore after transfer of server to another Mac

Server Version#:1.18.2.2052

Hi together,

after trying to fix the problem myself the whole Sunday, I am now desperate enough to ask for help here. First, I want to give some background information:

Yesterday, I got my new Apple Mac mini as a Plex server. After moving the Plex install from my late 2009 to the new Mac mini (following https://support.plex.tv/articles/201370363-move-an-install-to-another-system/) everything worked great (at least I thought it did).

However, after adding some new items to my Plex library today, I noticed that the PMS is not fetching any metadata anymore and shows just a blank black cover poster for the new movies

.

I tried a couple of things today that I found on the internet, where people had similar problems, but nothing helped yet. Those things included:

  • Turning off IPv6 both in my router and the PMS
  • Clearing caches
  • removing and readding the files
  • changing the order of my metadata agents

Can someone please help?

I don’t know if it’s related or not, but my server on a Synology NAS is having trouble pulling metadata as well. At first it was only tv shows, but now it’s happening to movies too. It correctly matches the movie/tv show and pulls all the metadata except the artwork. I’m not sure if this is related to the TVDB API or if there’s something wrong on my end.

Version 1.18.2.2058

I rolled my Plex server back to a previous release (Version 1.16.5.1552) and it’s working fine. It must be an issue with Version 1.18.2.2058.
