Lately I haven’t been able to refresh Metadata for my movies including backgrounds. Most of my Movies category have no reverted to a screenshot of the video file rather than the backgrounds. Is there a way I can reset the metadata collected by the server to download fresh images?
I am having a similar issue.
After investigating I found that this is caused by renaming a movie folder after it has been scanned by Plex. When I do this it completely removes the movie background and just shows a blur. It’s as if it loses the meta data of the background. Sometimes doing an analyze on the movie will fix it while other times it just puts a screenshot of the video file which is not what I want. Refresh meta data does NOTHING unless I edit movie, click on background (without selecting one) then I do cancel then the refresh meta data finds the background.
Removing the movie folder from my library after it has been renamed and then readding it seems to fix the issue, but this is a pain.
